CANTON, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College women's
lacrosse team suffered a 15-5 non-conference defeat Wednesday afternoon
to SUNY Canton in Canton.
The loss drops the Mustangs to 5-8 overall.
Liz Leva (Hoosick Falls, N.Y.) led the Morrisville State efforts with four goals, all in the second half, while teammate DeeAnna Rammelt (Westfield, N.Y.) posted the other score for the Mustangs on a free position.

(Putnam Valley, N.Y.) recorded 13 saves in the loss for Morrisville
State between the pipes, including an eight save effort in the first
half of play.
Canton opened the contest with the first two tallies before the free
position tally by Rammelt put
Morrisville State on the board.
Canton then went on a 9-0 run to close out the first half, claiming
the 11-1 lead at the break and putting the game out of reach for the
Mustangs.
Morrisville State returns to the field Saturday, traveling to
Lancaster Bible College for a 1 p.m. North Eastern Athletic Conference
(NEAC) contest.
