Buffalo State: 4x100 Leads Women's Track & Field at Baldwin Wallace

BEREA, Ohio- Buffalo State's 4x100-meter relay team posted the seventh-fastest time in Division III this season en route to a first-place finish today at the Sparky Adams Invitational at Baldwin Wallace.

THE BASICS

LOCATION:  Baldwin Wallace – Berea, Ohio

NOTABLES
  • Jazlyn Porter (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls), Dayonna Holmes (Rochester/Charlotte), Shuntone Pricher (Brooklyn/Transit Tech) and Niasha Houpe (Rochester/xxx) teamed up to win the 4x100-meter relay with a facility record time of 47.67 seconds.
  • Porter also won the 200-meter dash (25.31). 
  • Sasa Vann (Mastic Beach/Bishop McGann-Mercy) added a victory in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.89 seconds.
  • Holmes was second in the 200-meter dash (25.75) and third in the 100-meter dash (12.64).
  • Treasure Glymph (Bronx/Harry S. Truman) was runner-up in the triple jump (10.95m) and was fifth in the high jump (1.54m).
  • Tianna Gillenwater (New Rochelle/New Rochelle) finished third in the shot put (11.40m).
  • Houpe and Kayla McLean (Westburg/Hicksville) placed fourth (1:00.31) and fifth (1:00.35) respectively in the 400-meter dash.
  • Seland Chaplin (Patchogue/Patchogue-Medford) was fifth in the triple jump (10.23m).
UP NEXT
Buffalo State will compete at St. John Fisher next Saturday.
