Raptors topped by Vassar, 12-4

Emmet O'Connell scored twice against Vassar on Wednesday night.
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Bard College men's lacrosse team lost a Liberty League game at Vassar, 12-4, on Wednesday night.

Vassar (8-7, 3-3 Liberty League) jumped out to a 5-0 lead, but the Raptors (4-10, 0-6) had cut it to 6-3 by late in the second quarter.

The Brewers scored again right before halftime, then held Bard to one goal in the entire second half to cruise to victory.

Vassar outshot Bard, 41-18, and went 18-for-19 on clears. They also collected 30 ground balls to Bard's 18.

Noah Parson (Cary, NC) had three goals and an assist to lead Vassar, while Sam Houston-Read (Waban, MA) added two goals and two assists.

Bard got two goals from Emmet O'Connell, and single goals from John Palermo and Ryan Colin. Troy Ludtka made 12 saves, and Dalton Davis collected five ground balls.
