Sage Lacrosse falls at Purchase

Purchase, NY – The Sage Colleges' women's lacrosse team travelled to Purchase College for a Skyline Conference match-up with the Panthers. Purchase tallied a 20-7 win to improve to 9-2 overall and 5-1 in the Skyline. Sage drops to 5-9 overall with a 105 nark in the conference.

Junior captain Monica Koralus (Verbank, NY/Millbrook) led the team with her four goals in the contest. Koralus now has a team-best 76 points on 61 goals and 15 assists. Junior Savanann Mason (Wynantskill, NY/Averill Park) added two goals as well, while sophomore Nikki Pedone (Ballston Lake, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) added a goal. Senior Nicole Maher (Glen Cove, NY/Saint Dominic) added one assist as and now has 30 points this year with 25 goals. She stands No. 7 in career goals at Sage, while ranking No. 7 in points in just one year with the Gators.

Sage junior captain and goalie Jackie St. Pierre (Averill Park, NY/Averill Park) made four saves in net for her effort. The program's all-time saves leader, she has 128 this season and 4140 on her career. She shared time  with junior Chelsea Hunt (Verplank, NY/Handrick Hudson), who worked in net and made four save as well.

The Gators will be back in action on April 30 travelling to Farmingdale State College for a noon Skyline Conference match-up with the Rams.
