BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Keuka College Men's Volleyball team lost to
top-seeded Medaille College in four sets in the North Eastern Athletic
Conference Semi-Finals on Saturday at Medaille College.
Keuka College finishes the 2016 season with a 14-12 record.
The Green and Gold led for the most of the first set. At its largest,
the margin was four points. Medaille rallied to tie the set at 17-17.
From that point on, the Mavericks outscored Keuka 8-3, winning the first
set 25-20.
Medaille came out strong in the second. They had a 7-0 run to widen their lead and took the second
set 25-13.
Keuka College continued to fight. They started fast with an early 4-0
lead. They maintained the margin for the set, extending the match with a
25-21 third set victory.
The Mavericks flipped the script in the fourth, using a 4-0 start of
their own to take an early lead. Keuka got six straight points to tie
the set at 11-11. Medaille took the lead back, but it would remain
close. Aaron Brill and Josh Makin
combined for a block to tie the set at 24-24. Medaille answered with a
kill and a block of their own, however, to win the fourth set 26-24 and
the match 3-1.
Connor Hinman led Keuka with nine kills on the afternoon. Sophomores Connor Gail and Aaron Brill each added five in the loss. Cooper Lyon finished Saturday with a match-high 16 digs and Chris Corcoran had 12 assists for Keuka.
