The City College of New York men's tennis team fell 8-1 to Drew
University on Friday at the Simon Forum and Athletic Complex in Madison,
New Jersey.
Drew started the match off taking all three points
in doubles play. On all three courts, the Beavers lost 8-2. Going into
singles Drew led 3-0.
Reginald Duvalsaint gained the sole point for CCNY on court four. He defeated Kevin Shulca 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (10-8) to pick up the point. Pavel Shapturenka fell on court one 6-2, 6-0, while Max Bernstein fell 6-0, 6-1 on court two. In the number three position, Andrew Bregman was defeated 6-3, 6-0. Austin Thai and Andrew Chen fell on courts five and six. Thai was defeated 6-2, 6-1, while Chen was topped 6-0, 6-2.
The Beavers will travel to face CUNYAC foe York College today, Saturday, April 9 at 12 p.m.
