Turnovers Cost Fighting Tigers at SUNY Poly
Marcy, N.Y. - The SUNY Cobleskill men's lacrosse team once again found the road a rough place to be on Wednesday evening as the Fighting Tigers dropped a 16-6 decision to North Eastern Athletic Conference (ECAC) rival SUNY Polytechnic on the Wildcats home turf. The loss drops Cobleskill to 3-8 overall on the year with a 1-4 conference record while the Wildcats improve to 5-8 overall with a 3-2 mark in NEAC play.Once again the Fighting Tigers struggled with turnovers as the Orange & Black had 30 in the contest which led to the Wildcats posting a lopsided 60-to-15 advantage in shots for the game.
Senior attackman Alex Acompora, Harrison, N.Y., Harrison High School, continued his stellar offensive season with a pair of goals and a pair of assists on the day to go with four ground balls while freshman midfielder Javia Ludgood, Rochester, N.Y., Greece-Arcadia High School, also posted a pair of goals in the contest.
Cobleskill will next return to action on Friday April 22 when they travel to Bryn Athyn, N.Y. to meet Bryn Athyn College in NEAC action with face-off scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
