HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sarah Gorski (Cheektowaga/Depew) finished 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI to lead the Bengals at the plate.
- Laura Crooks (Niagara Falls/Niagara Wheatfield) was also 2 for 3, and Chrissy Rennard (Brockport/Brockport) went 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored.
- Lexi Haley (Rochester/Aquinas) took the loss, allowing eight hits and three earned runs with four strikeouts.
- The Bengals outhit Cortland 10-8, but could not hold on to a 2-1 lead entering the seventh inning.
- After Cortland plated a run in the third inning, the Bengals responded with two runs in the fourth on an RBI single by Jean Stahl (W. Seneca/W. Seneca East) and a run scoring double by Gorski.
- The Bengals cruised to the seventh, but Cortland erased the one-run deficit with five runs on four hits and two errors in the final frame.
FOR THE FOES
- Mikayla Shade finished 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs to pace Cortland's bats.
- Alexandrea Flint earned the win, allowing 10 hits and striking out four.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Stahl produced one of Buffalo State's two hits in the night cap and score its only run.
- Jordan Sarat (Caledonia/Caledonia-Mumford) suffered the hard-luck loss, scattering seven hits and allowing three runs in a strong start, going 6 2/3 innings.
- The Bengals took the early lead, scoring in the second inning on a Stahl single and back-to-back Cortland errors.
- The Red Dragons used a leadoff walk and an RBI single to even the score in the fifth inning, and then converted three hits into a pair of runs to break the tie in the seventh.
FOR THE FOES
- Jamie Lachall improved to 5-2 in the circle, tossing the complete-game two-hitter, allowing just the one unearned run.
- Erin Wolstenholme was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI, while Niki Barbato and Kaleigh Churchill were both 1 for 4 with an RBI.
