OSWEGO, N.Y. – The women's lacrosse team defeated Buffalo State 17-7 to earn its third conference victory of the season, keeping them squarely in the running for the SUNYAC playoffs. With the win, the Lakers improve to 7-3 (3-2 conference) while the Bengals fall to 4-10 (1-5 SUNYAC).

The squad controlled the game for its entirety, outscoring Buffalo State by five goals in each half of play. Emily Lange, Teresa Shattuck, and Esther Gabriel paced the team in the scoring column, each netting three on the day. Gabriel's goals pushed her season total to 28, which ranks in the top-10 of the SUNYAC conference.

Erannan Shattuck continued her familiar role of distributor, dishing out five assists to add to her two
goals scored. T. Shattuck had four assists of her own, which put her tied with her sister as point leaders for the game (7).

Four other Lakers hopped into the score sheet on this day, including Kendall Appelbaum (2), Kelsey Henderson (2), Briana Kimble (1), and Gemma O'Kane (1). O'Kane continued her efficient shooting, scoring on one of her two shots taken. On the season, the sophomore attacker is shooting at a .750 clip.

Angela Ponto was solid in net today, stopping eleven of the eighteen shots that came her way, including a few big saves early that allowed the squad to build a comfortable lead.
