The City College of New York men's tennis team dropped their match 6-3
against Lehman College on Friday afternoon. The Beavers fell to 3-7, 0-5
CUNYAC while Lehman improved to 3-8, 2-4 CUNYAC.
Starting with doubles, Lehman was able to take the advantage. The Lightning took the doubles point on both courts one and two. Austin Thai and Brian Chen
were able to take one point for CCNY with an 8-4 victory over
Christopher Valez and Andrew Francisco on court three. Lehman led 2-1
going into singles.
The Lightning continued their dominance in
singles when they took points on courts one through four. Chen and Thai
continued their strong day when they were able to take down Lehman on
courts six and five, respectively. Thai defeated Fransico 6-1, 6-0 to
take the point for the Beavers. Chen was able to pick up the point with a
6-4, 7-5 victory on court six. Lehman took the match 6-3.
City will face CUNYAC opponent Brooklyn College on Sunday, April 17 at 12 p.m.
