Women's Lacrosse Pulls Out A 16-11 Win Over UNE

HILTON HEAD, SC - The University of Rochester women's lacrosse team evened up its season record on the year after posting a 16-11 victory over the University of New England on Thursday morning at Hilton Head Prep School.

The Yellowjackets are competing during their spring break trip down south and improve to 2-2 on the 2019 season, while the Nor'Easters fall to 2-3 this season.

Rochester was led by junior Jamison Seabury who poured in five goals in the victory, four of which came in a first half with saw Rochester jump out to a 9-5 lead.  Maggie McKenna added a hat trick and one assist, while Marina Kern chipped in two goals and one assist.

Also, scoring twice was Kendra Jones and Mary Panepento, with Panepento connecting both times from the free position.  Jenna Macri and Katherine Woo added single tallies for the Yellowjackets.

UNE was led by Nichole Carvalho who scored three goals in the loss.  Julia Benjamin and Molly Camelo each scored twice for the Nor'Easters as well.
