Baseball Slips to AIC

Miami Shores, Fla. – The Molloy baseball team fell to the American International Yellow Jackets, 3-0, Wednesday afternoon in the Barry Invitational at Feinbloom Field. The Lions moved to 1-8, while the Yellow Jackets improved to 4-4.

How it Happened
AIC plated three runs in the third to go up 3-0.

The Lions loaded the bases in the bottom of the sixth, but failed to score a run.

Molloy had runners on first and second and no outs in the ninth, but  the Yellow Jackets worked out of the jam.

Top Performances
Sophomore Billy Wildeman struck out six batters in seven innings in his first collegiate start.
Freshman Chris Peralta tallied two hits.

Looking Ahead
The maroon and white returns home to play Concordia Saturday, March 16. The first game of the doubleheader with the Clippers is scheduled for noon.
