John Jay: Cheerleading Places Fourth at CUNYAC Championship

Jamaica, NY - The cheerleading team finished in fourth place at the CUNYAC Championship on Thursday night on the campus of York College.

Final Score:
Staten Island - 69.30 points
BMCC - 53.45 points
Lehman - 52.10 points
John Jay - 43.40 points
Brooklyn - 34.80 points
Medgar Evers - 32.60 points
 


Senior Ayanna Miller-Smith, junior Idalina Marin, and freshmen Samara Pettie and Kelly Fernandez competed in the stunt competition.

Final Score:
Staten Island - 73.10 points
Lehman - 59.70 points
John Jay - 52.70 points
BMCC - 48.30 points
 


Freshman Mirtha Wong Hernandez participated in the jump performance.

Staten Island - 17.80 points
BMCC - 16.60 points
Lehman - 15.40 points
John Jay - 14.20 points
Medgar Evers - 13.60 points
Brooklyn - 8.80 points
 


Miller-Smith was John Jay's recipient for CUNYAC Performer of the Year.
 


Fernandez was the Bloodhounds' recipient for CUNYAC Rookie of the Year.
