UAlbany Defeats Stony Brook 5-2

Location: Stony Brook, New York - University Field
Short Story: UAlbany defeated Stony Brook 5-2 on Sunday, which was the second conference win of the season for the Great Danes.
RECAP
The Great Danes defeated the Stony Brook Seawolves 5-2 in the third and final game of the weekend. In the second inning, Maranda Jimenez hit the first RBI single of the game, bringing Amelia Ely around to score. McKenzie Bump also hit an RBI single that brought Donna Conrad around to score the second run. Aliyah Wade scored the third and final run of the second inning when Chelsea Henige walked, advancing Wade to home plate.
The score remained 3-0 until the fourth inning when Stony Brook scored a run off of a walk that advanced the runner on third base home.
In the fifth inning, Sarah Petzold hit a home run, giving the Great Danes a three-run advantage once again.
Alexis Phillips scored the fifth and final run of the game for the Great Danes in the seventh inning. Stony Brook also scored a run in the seventh inning, but it was not enough to gain an advantage over UAlbany. The Great Danes won 5-2.

The Great Danes head to Amherst, Massachusetts on Wednesday, April 4th for a double-header against UMass Amherst.
