Aiding the Golden Flyer offense was a steady dose of pressure on the defensive end, as Elmira committed 25 turnovers compared to Nazareth's 14. EC's senior midfielder, Rachel Grampp '18, put a brief halt to the Nazareth run by scoring her 10th goal of the season at the 21:20 mark. However, back-to-back goals 1:22 apart from Nazareth's Katie Carroll padded the lead at 7-1, and sparked an 8-0 run to end the half, as the Golden Flyers marched into the halftime break with a 13-1 advantage.

The Nazareth attack continued with four consecutive tallies to open the second half, before Elmira's Kiersta Pino '18 scored her second-career goal with 12:30 left on the clock.
