New City, NY --
The Rockland County Youth Bureau is seeking employers from the private sector, local government, and not-for-profit agencies to participate in the 2019 Youth
Employment Program. Rockland County employers willing to hire young people through the program will receive benefits including hiring enthusiastic, hard-working employees and being reimbursed 50-100% of their salaries.
In 2018, the Youth Employment Program placed over 220 young people with employers throughout the county. When given the opportunity, the young people are rising the occasion and contributing to
our county in a meaningful and productive way.
The Youth Employment Program is a way to empower the youth in our County by giving them an opportunity to contribute and make a difference. The applicants are highly motivated young people from
the community. They have completed a mandatory 4-week pre-employment training program developed and conducted by the Youth Bureau in conjunction with SUNY Rockland Community College. Organizations that participate have the opportunity to increase work staff
at a fraction of the usual cost, while the young people gain knowledge and experience for a successful future.
For more information about becoming an employer through the Youth Employment Program, please contact the Youth Bureau at (845) 364-2929.
