Oswego was consistent throughout the game, putting up three goals in each of the first three quarters and tacking on two more in the fourth. Extra-man opportunities were key for the Lakers, as they capitalized on three of their six opportunities while preventing the Saxons from scoring on all five of their chances.
Robbie Connors and Bobby Emerson led the Laker offense, tying for the game-high with three goals apiece. Midfielders Tim Schof and Tyler Nason dished out three assists each, which was also a game-high.
In the net, reigning SUNYAC Goalie of the Week Kevin O'Donnell made six saves. His efforts were assisted by defenseman Teddy Phillips, who caused a team-high four turnovers by the Saxons.
At the X, Kyle O'Connor defeated his Alfred foes the majority of the time. The sophomore was victorious in 14 of 22 faceoffs.
Oswego returns to the turf at 1 p.m. on Saturday as it hosts Keuka for the start of a three-game homestand.
