Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's tennis team played host to Hunter College in a non-conference match this afternoon and fell, 9-0. With the win, the Hawks improved to a perfect 6-0, while the Rams now stand at 1-5 on the year.
In doubles competition, FSC freshman Steven Gaudio (Miller Place, N.Y.) and junior Bradley Maslak (Middle Island, N.Y.) were defeated, 8-2, in the #1 position. At second doubles, senior Marvin Beaubrun (Farmingdale, N.Y.) and sophomore Elijah McCall (West Babylon, N.Y.) lost 8-4, while the pairing of Matthew Ramsay (Bay Shore, N.Y.) and junior Daniel Kafka (Massapequa Park. N.Y.) fell, 8-5, in the third slot.
The Hawks claimed all six singles matches en route to the 9-0 shutout victory.
Farmingdale State next will host Merchant Marine for a Skyline Conference match on Monday, April 9th at 6:00 p.m.
