ALBANY, N.Y.  – Despite a total of four hits on the afternoon by senior CF Andruw Gazzola (Coram, N.Y.) that including a home run, the Stony Brook baseball team dropped both games of Saturday's doubleheader to UAlbany at Varsity Field.

The Seawolves (19-15, 6-6 AE) fell 16-4 to the Great Danes (14-15, 5-7 AE) in game one, while UAlbany walked off in game two with a 4-3 victory.

Game One Turning Point
UAlbany exploded for eight runs in the bottom of the third inning to take a 9-2 lead, one the Seawolves wouldn't be able to come back from.

Game Two Turning Point
After Stony Brook used back-to-back two-outs hits to tie the game in the top of the seventh, the Great Danes put together four straight singles and scored the winning run with one out.

Quoting Head Coach Matt Senk
"This weekend was a very disappointing finish to the first half of our conference schedule after earning series wins the first three weekends. There's no time for looking back, however, with the conference standings being extremely tight from top to bottom. There's a lot of fun and important baseball to look forward to in the coming weeks."
