Buffalo College Women’s Lacrosse dismantles D’Youville, 18-0

Morgan Hogue had three goals and two assists for the Bengals
BUFFALO, N.Y.— Buffalo State exploded for 15 first-half goals and cruised to an 18-0 victory over visiting D'Youville today in a non-conference matchup at Coyer Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Nina Schaefer (Lafayette/Lafayette) led the onslaught with six points on four goals and two assists.
  • Kendall Skuse (Churchville/Churchville-Chili), Morgan Hogue (Painted Post/Corning) and Jackie Dufresne (Lake View/Frontier) added three goals and two assists apiece.
  • Christina Krowel (Amsterdam/B.H.-B.L.) also scored three times, bringing her team-leading total to 25, and Ally Ruggieri (Brockport/Brockport) tallied two goals and an assist.
  • Elyse Stark (Lido Beach/Long Beach) was called upon to make just one save for her second shutout of the season.
  • The Bengals dominated all aspects of the scoresheet, including outshooting the Spartans, 28-3 and holding a 14-6 edge in draw controls and a 21-11 advantage in ground balls.
 
UP NEXT
Buffalo State will next play at Stevenson in Maryland on Sunday at 1 p.m. before continuing the road trip at Messiah on Tuesday.
