Women's Golf Makes History At Cortaca Invitational


CORTLAND, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo first-year Brooklyn Rogers and junior Morgan Stubley made history as the first Geneseo women's golfers to tee off in program history, competing in the Cortaca Invitational on Saturday. 


Rogers turned in a first round 95 while Stubley

carded a 97 to sit in 42nd and 45th place, respectively, after day one. On day two, both golfers improved their score and their standing. Rogers carded an 89, giving her a two-day total of 184, good for 37th, while Stubley turned in a 96 to move into 44th overall with a 193 total over 36 holes. 


Geneseo will continue its season in the spring, including the Northeast Women's Golf Conference (NWGC) Championships.
