USA Cycling Announces 2021 UCI Marathon Mountain Bike World Championship Team

10 Americans will head to Tuscany to compete in the Marathon Mountain Bike World Championships.

ELBA ISLAND - TUSCANY, Italy – USA Cycling announced today the athletes who will represent the United States at the 2021 UCI Marathon Mountain Bike World Championships that will take place in the Elba Island, Italy on October 2, 2021.

The marathon mountain bike course will test

riders’ skills and endurance with the men racing 115km and the women racing 80km through the countryside of Capoliveri.

Headlining the team is 2021 Cross-Country Mountain Bike National Champion Keegan Swenson (Park City Utah; Santa Cruz Bicycles) who will take the line with 2018 Cross-Country Mountain Bike World Champion Kate Courtney (Kentfield, Calif.; SCOTT-SRAM Factory Racing). Kelly Catale (Pepperell, Mass.) most recently raced to Top-15 in the UCI Mountain Bike Marathon Series in Arbent, France.

Kyle Trudeau (Phoenix, Ariz.; Construction Zone Racing)

Alex Wild (San Jose, Calif.; Orange Sealed)
