Wells built a 4-1 lead in the first 10 minutes of the game and never trailed. It was a 5-3 Wells advantage after the first quarter. The Express added four more goals in the second quarter, with two of those coming from Nathan Ramsey. It was 9-4 at halftime.
The Express controlled the third quarter with three straight goals. The largest lead of the game was a margin of eight goals when Wells led 12-4 and 13-5. Keystone scored the last four goals of the game in the fourth quarter.
Nathan Ramsey and Quinten Battle each scored four goals. Ramsey added three assists. Padraic Iannello had a goal and three assists. Cash Lawson had two goals and four ground balls. He won 15 of 26 faceoffs.
Goalkeeper Trevor Stein made 11 saves and earned his first collegiate victory. Nathan Ramsey and Justin Dude led Wells with seven ground balls each. Dude and Iannello each had three caused turnovers. Wells was 15-for-16 in clears and had a 42-30 advantage in shots.
The Express will play at home this weekend with a Saturday, March 9 game at 1 p.m. against SUNY Delhi.
