Larkin posts 17th career shutout in 2-0 Mustang win over Utica College

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College men's soccer team notched a non-conference win Tuesday afternoon after a nine-day break, handing host Utica College the 2-0 defeat in Utica.

Morrisville State goalkeeper Rob Larkin (Clinton, N.Y.) posted his 17th career shutout, registering six saves for the win, boosting the Mustangs to a 6-2-1 overall record.

The loss drops the Pioneers to 4-8 overall.

Mustang leading scorer, Jamieson McKoy (Bronx, N.Y.), posted both tallies for the visitors on the day, as Chernor Barrie (Bronx, N.Y.) and Julian Rodriguez (Bronx, N.Y.) each picked up assists.
The first score of the day came just 6:49 into the contest as Barrie played the ball up center to an open McKoy who gave the Mustangs the early 1-0 lead.

McKoy posted his second goal in the 84th minute to secure the win, heading the centered pass from Rodriguez into the upper right hand corner of the net.

Matthew Milograno recorded the loss behind his five save effort.

Morrisville State resumes North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action Saturday on the road at Bryn Athyn College.
