MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College men's golf team wrapped up the Fall 2015 segment of their schedule Tuesday afternoon, finishing 7th overall out of 10 competing teams at the Elmira College Fall Invitational held at the Elmira Country Club.
Morrisville State compiled a team score of 343 strokes on the 6,687 yard, 72-par course.
Brandon Davis (Fayetteville, N.Y.) and Darren Young (Woodstock, Ontario) led the Mustangs with a 15th individual finish, each shooting a round of 83 on the day, while Cody Holmes (Fort Ann, N.Y.) finished just four strokes behind, tying for 27th individually.
Layne Martin (Findlay, Ohio) finished in 34th overall position, shooting +18 on the day, while Tyler Lepore (London, Ontario) rounded out team scoring, registering an individual round score of 110 to tie for 49th.
Elmira won the event, placing two golfers in the top five of the invitational, compiling a team score of 330 strokes.
Morrisville State will resume action in the spring.
