RIT sweeps Devils

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The RIT women's volleyball team dropped Fredonia State, 3-0, in opening-night action at the Nazareth Golden Flyer Invitational on Friday.

After the first set went to tiebreaker, the Devils

did not have much luck against the Tigers, dropping sets by scores of  27-25, 25-11, and 25-17.

Emily Jones and Bridget Murphy led the the Devils with five kills apiece. Taylor Beck had three aces.

Defensively, Erin Callahan had three blocks, and Olivia Emley had five digs.

The Devils (4-5) take on Nazareth and Morrisville State on Saturday. RIT improved to 8-1.
