William Smith field hockey to host youth clinic Oct. 10

Geneva, New York - The William Smith College field hockey team will host a youth clinic on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 2:30 until 4 p.m. on McCooey Field.

The Herons are scheduled to host nationally ranked New Paltz at noon on McCooey Field. Following the game, juniors Lindsay Brandt and Lauren Stevenson organized a clinic where the team teach the basic skills of field hockey. The clinic is open to 2nd-5th graders. There is a $10 registration fee. Participants can register through the Geneva Recreation Department.

All proceeds from the clinic will go to Embrace Your Sisters. EYS is a not-for-profit charity serving Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne, and Yates Counties.
