Geneva, New York - The William Smith College field hockey team will host a youth clinic on
Saturday, Oct. 10 from 2:30 until 4 p.m. on McCooey Field.
The Herons are scheduled to host nationally ranked New Paltz at noon on McCooey Field. Following the game, juniors Lindsay Brandt and Lauren Stevenson
organized a clinic where the team teach the basic skills of field
hockey. The clinic is open to 2nd-5th graders. There is a $10
registration fee. Participants can register through the Geneva
Recreation Department.
All proceeds from the clinic will go to
Embrace Your Sisters. EYS is a not-for-profit charity serving
Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne, and Yates Counties.
It provides people diagnosed with breast cancer with short-term
emergency financial assistance. EYS helps ease the difficulty of
mounting medical expenses as well as helping make ends meet when people
are unable to work due to illness or treatment.
