Keuka wins their fifth straight match, improving their record to 6-5-2 and 5-2 in conference. It was the first lost of the conference season for Penn, who is now 5-1-1 in the NEAC.
Hannah Dalle scored the game-winning goal and assist for Keuka College. Nicole Browe netted the
opening tally. Maeve Fletcher made six saves in the win.
Keuka College will board a bus tonight and travel to New Jersey. They will face the College of St. Elizabeth on Sunday at 1pm.
The Green and Gold got off to a quick start. Hannah Dalle collected the ball down the right flank and sent a cross into the box. She found Nicole Browe on a near-post run. The sophomore volleyed the ball into the back of the net for the 1-0 advantage. The Wildcats controlled possession for most of the remaining first half. Maeve Fletcher stood tall in net for Keuka, making four saves, to carry the game to halftime with Keuka leading 1-0.
That lead would grow fast in the second half. Darian Staufer sent a ball right down the middle of the field. Her pass found the feet of Hannah Dalle who finished for her team-leading eighth goal of the season 49 seconds into the half. Penn would continue to pressure. They outshot Keuka 21-7 in the game. The Wildcats broke through in the 67th minute on a rebound off the cross-bar to make it 2-1.
Keuka College's defense held for the rest of the half. Fletcher made a diving save to hold onto the advantage and preserve the 2-1 conference victory.
