Taylor Tommell Named NEAC Women's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week For Fighting Tigers

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced today that SUNY Cobleskill junior Taylor Tommell, Guilderland, N.Y., Guilderland High School has been named the league's Women's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week for the week ending Sunday, October 4th. This marks the sixth time in her career and second time this season that the Guilderland, N.Y. native has been honored by the conference with the award.

The junior harrier led the Fighting Tigers to a second place finish with a score of 69 points against a field of 14 team's at the Seventh Annual Cazenovia College Homecoming Invitational on Saturday at Janesville Beach Park in Janesville, N.Y. Tommell finished in third place versus the 91 runners in the race by covering the 5750 meter course in a time of 23:48.

The Orange & Black will return to action after the college's fall break when they travel to Clinton, N.Y. for the 2015 New York State College Track Conference Meet hosted by Hamilton College on the college's cross country course beginning at 11:00 a.m.
