The Leopards answered back in the bottom of the inning to tie the game, 2-2. Mikayla Mendoza led off with a double to right center and advanced to third on a wild pitch. She was ultimately driven in by a Carly Condon sacrifice fly to right field.
La Verna put together a two-run bottom of the fifth to take a 4-2 lead over Ithaca. Navarro led off with a single up the middle and headed to third on a Justice Borden sacrifice bunt. Gabriella Underwood drove in Navarro for the first run of the inning before scoring on a Mendoza trip to right.
After a scoreless sixth inning, the Bombers put up a huge seventh inning. Vanessa Brown started things off with a single before Gabby Laccona sent a shot to left field. Abby Shields then drew a walk to load the bases and Mulvey blasted a grand slam to bring all runners in and give Ithaca a 6-4 advantage.
La Verne put another run on the board in the bottom of the seventh inning, starting with a Shelby Tevis walk. Tevis advanced to second on a Mendoza single and scored on an error. The Bombers forced the final two outs to preserve the lead and take the win.
