Deleva netted seven goals to lead the Privateers dominant offensive performance. The senior totaled nine points in the matchup, as she also assisted on two Privateer goals. Senior midfielder Catherine Pfundstein (Deer Park, N.Y./Deer Park) tallied five goals on the afternoon, as well as one assist for a total of six points. Sophomore midfielder Sarah Wright recorded six points for the Privateers, as she scored and assisted three times. Senior midfielder Ciara Murphy (Pearl River, N.Y./Pearl River) was the fourth and final scorer for the Privateers, as she recorded one goal as well as three assists.
Defensively the Privateers combined for 10 forced Mariners turnovers, to take the 10-to-6 advantage. Leading the way for the Privateers with two caused turnovers apiece was freshman defender Victoria Machado (North Babylon, NY/North Babylon), Murphy, Pfundstein, and Wright. Deleva as well as senior defender Courtney Salatto (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip) both contributed one caused turnover.
The Privateers also controlled the advantage in draw controls, as they bested Maine Maritime by a 15-to-5 margin. Wright led the way for the Privateers with nine draw controls.
In goal junior Esmeralda Hernandez (Huntington, N.Y./Huntington) picked up the victory for the Privateers. The junior had six saves while allowing three goals.
The contest between the two rivals was one in which the Privateers started off fast and did not look back. The Privateers scored the first 10 goals of the contest to hop out to a 10-0 lead in the first half. Coming out of the break, the Privateers started right where they left off as they connected on four goals to jump out to a 14-1 advantage. started off fast with three goals in the first two minutes of play. Both teams would then score two goals each to reach the final score of 16-3.
