MORRISVILLE, New York -- The Keuka College Field Hockey team lost a North Eastern Athletic Conference game to Morrisville State by the score of 5-2 on Saturday afternoon.

Alyssa Orsino and Ashley D'Amore each scored their first collegiate goals for Keuka College (2-7, 1-1 NEAC). Elizabeth Sherman made 17 saves for the Wolfpack in the loss.

Keuka College will now have a week off before a non-conference matchup with SUNY Geneseo next Saturday. The game with the Knights is set to start at 1pm.

Morrisville State (2-8, 1-1 NEAC)  got out to a fast start against the Wolfpack on Saturday afternoon. They netted three goals in the opening 5:30 for the early lead. Keuka was unphaised and started to attack the Mustangs. Just a minute after falling behind 3-0, Keuka got on the board when Alyssa Orsino swept home a shot to make it 3-1. The Wolfpack narrowed the margin to 3-2 with 15 minutes left in the half. Ashley D'Amore scored on a breakaway for Keuka. Unfortunately for the Wolfpack, Morrisville closed the half with a pair of goals and carried a 5-2 lead into halftime.

Keuka attempted to fight back into the game, but the Mustangs controlled a bulk of the play in the second half. The Wolfpack got only one shot on goal in the half compared to Morrisville's eight shots on goal. Elizabeth Sherman stopped all eight shots for Keuka, but they would lose to Morrisville State 5-2.
