Team USA will send two teams to compete in the junior event in Gdansk, Poland, this week at the 2022 Hevelius Cup. The event is scheduled for Jan. 6-8 and is the first stop on the 2022 ISU Challenger Series Synchronized Skating. Synchronized skating returns to the international stage after all events were canceled during the 2020-21 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Teams Elite headlines the Team USA contingent in the junior competition. The 2020 U.S. junior silver medalists earned the silver medal at 2020 Spring Cup in Milan, Italy, and
finished fifth at the 2020 French Cup in Rouen, France. This is their third appearance at a Challenger Series competition.The Lexettes will also represent Team USA in the junior competition. The 2020 U.S. junior pewter medalists earned the bronze medal at the 2020 Spring Cup. This is the team’s second appearance at a Challenger Series competition.
There are no U.S. entries in the senior division at 2022 Hevelius Cup.
