SUNY New Paltz Equestrian Hosts Home IHSA Show at Meadow Creek Farm


Pleasant Valley, NY -
 The State University of New York at New Paltz hosted an IHSA Show Saturday on their home Meadow Creek Farm.

Nora Greenfieldt placed second in intermediate fences, riding Daisy and also had a fifth place standing in intermediate flat riding Black. Brynley Smith took first in open flat on Clyde and fourth in open fences on Bond. Devyn Looney placed second in over open flat and third on open flat riding Dairy and Ox, respectively. Miko McGovern earned second in open fences and took home first in open flat riding Mo and Clyde, respectively. Seraphina Morreale placed third on Oliver in limited fences and fourth in limit flat on Zoey. She also placed fourth in open fences riding ox and third in open flat, riding Bond. Brie Costello placed fifth in limit fences riding JB and sixth riding Petey in limit flat. Djuna Dechert finished second in limit fences on JB and second in limit flat on Petey.

Juliette Barkman placed fourth in limit fences and limit flat, riding on Chief and Cassie, respectively, in those events. Abigail Artz placed fourth in limit flat on Cassie, while Winn Schmitt earned third in over limit fences and second in limit fences on Chief and Dom, respectively and Emma Mearkle placed fourth in novice flat riding Bond.

The Hawks are back in action next weekend, as their NCEA team heads down to Virginia to compete against Sweet Briar and Lynchburg, while their IHSA team will compete at Centenary's home show Saturday.
