HOW IT HAPPENED
- Buffalo State rose to the challenge of facing the league's first-place team, narrowly dropping the first set, and rebounding to even the match with a 25-22 win in the second set. The Hawks proved too strong, however, winning the next two sets to send the Bengals to their second defeat of the day.
- Speen led the Bengals with 12 kills, while Hannah Renaldo (N. Collins/N. Collins) had 11.
- Pyc added nine kills and a team-high four blocks.
- Cecchettini chipped in 34 assists, and Kelchlin had 23 digs.
