Abigail Breslin & Sophie Nelisse: Critics' Choice Movie Awards 2014

Santa Monica, California - Actors Abigail Bresslin (seventeen) and Sophie Nelisse (thirteen) looked gorgeous as they hit the red carpet for the 19th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards at Barker Hangar on January 16, 2014 in Santa Monica, California.

The little ladies are both nominated for awards this evening!

Abigail and her castmates from August: Osage County are up for Best Acting Ensemble against the casts of 12 Years a Slave, American Hustle, Lee Daniels’ The Butler, Nebraska, and The Wolf of Wall Street.

Sophie is nominated for Best Young Actor/Actress for her work in The Book Thief. She is up against Ender’s Game‘s Asa Butterfield, Blue Is the Warmest Color‘s Adele Exarchopoulos, The Way Way Back‘s Liam James, and Mud‘s Tye Sheridan.

Abigail is wearing a Badgley Mischka dress, Jennifer Meyer jewels, and Giuseppe Zanotti heels.

Abigail Kathleen Breslin born April 14, 1996 is an American actress. She is one of the youngest actresses
ever to be nominated for an Academy Award. Breslin appeared in her first commercial when she was three years old, and in her first film, Signs (2002), at the age of five. Her subsequent films include Little Miss Sunshine (2006); No Reservations (2007); Nim's Island (2008); Definitely, Maybe (2008); My Sister's Keeper (2009); Zombieland (2009); Rango (2011); and The Call (2013).

Sophie Nélisse born March 27, 2000 is a Canadian teen actress. Sophie was born in Windsor, Ontario, but moved to Montreal with her family when she was just age 4. She known for her Genie Award–winning performance in Monsieur Lazhar and for her starring role in The Book Thief.

Nélisse grew up in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She is of French Canadian and Puerto Rican descent. She also won a Jutra Award for her performance as well as earning a Young Artist Award nomination as Best Leading Young Actress in an International Feature Film. She also had roles in the film Ésimésac and in a Quebec sitcom called Les Parents. She portrayed Liesel Meminger in the film version of the best-selling novel The Book Thief, which was released on November 8, 2013. Her sister is actress Isabelle Nélisse.
