In 1913, Leo Frank, a Brooklyn-raised Jewish man living in Georgia, is put on trial for the murder of thirteen-year-old Mary Phagan, a factory worker under his employ. Already guilty in the eyes of everyone around him, a sensationalist publisher and a janitor's false testimony seal Leo's fate. His only defenders are a governor with a conscience and, eventually, his assimilated Southern wife who finds the strength and love to become his greatest champion. At the forefront of this tragic tale is their heartbreaking love story.

The show's title refers to the annual parade held on Confederate Memorial Day, for it was on that day in 1913 that the murder took place. The trial, sensationalized by the media, aroused antisemitic tensions in Atlanta and the U.S. state of Georgia.

There will be a special performance with a panel discussion Sunday, May 29 directly following the show. The special panel discussion, "Antisemitism: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow" will feature guest speakers: Joel Levy - past NY Regional Director of the Anti-Defamation League, Pastor Luis Perez - Rhinebeck Reformed Church, Yoav Alperson - Sophomore at Rhinebeck High School, Cast and crew members of Parade, and moderated by Karen Hochhauser, Executive Director of the Jewish Federation of Dutchess County.
