SJC led 12-2 at the half and went on to tally 18 goals for the third time this season. Leading the way was junior attacker Tricia Barrett (Holbrook, NY/Sachem North) as she tallied five goals in the contest with three ground ball pickups and a draw control. Senior midfielder Heather Ferchland (Selden, NY/Centereach) added four goals and an assist to add to her team-leading point total of 38.
Sophomore midfielder Kristin Carroll (Patchogue, NY/Patochogue-Medford) added four points on two goals and two assists, while eight different players found the net in the match.
Sage's junior captain Monica Koralus (Verbank, NY/Millbrook) registered three goals, with six draw controls and a pair of caused turnovers for the Gators. She continues to add to her trio of active career marks as she is the program's all-time leading scorer with 96 goals, 32 assists and 128 points. She also leads the 2016 lineup with her impressive 47 goals and 11 assists, good enough for 58 points.
Gator senior Nicole Maher (Glen Cove, NY/Saint Dominic) added a goal for the afternoon and now has 19 goals and two assists, which is good enough for second in the 2016 scoring race.
Sage junior captain and goalie Jackie St. Pierre (Averill Park, NY/Averill Park) made 15 saves in net for her efforts, while SJC rookie keeper Lindsay Ramos (Farmingdale, NY/Farmingdale) picked up the win (7-4) after turning away eight shots she faced.
Sage will be back in action on April 20 travelling to Mt. St. Mary College for a 7 p.m. Skyline Conference contest while St. Joseph's College – LI will host Farmingdale State that same night at 7 p.m. in a Skyline Conference match-up.
