For the second-consecutive day, the Lakers were paced by Alexa Aramburu and Olivia Ellis. The tandem had identical outings, each recording a goal and two assists for three points. Jacquelin White was no slouch in the tilt, following up a two-point day in Oswego's 10-0 win on Friday with a goal and two assists of her own on Saturday, matching the upperclassmen's output. In fact, the trio of Ellis, Aramburu and White accounted for all six of the Laker assists in game two of the weekend series.
The other goal scorers for Oswego started with Kendall Appelbaum and the second Laker tally of the day. Receiving a pass from Ellis at the point, the senior sniped the puck top shelf at 16:37 of the first. The Lakers' next notch came from junior Andrea Noss at 6:27 of the second period. Defenseman Alyssa Brockmann followed Noss' goal just 1:26 later, floating a shot over the goalie's shoulder as she was being screened by another Laker.
Oswego remained perfect on the penalty kill for the weekend, holding Canton off the scoreboard on its three opportunities. The Lakers did have one gaffe on Saturday, as the Kangaroos' only goal came shorthanded as Kaylah Manchaca went unmarked on a fast break for the contest's final score.
In net, Amber Samonek remained perfect on the year, improving to 3-0-0 with 11 saves against Canton.
Oswego will wrap up the semester with a 7 p.m. nonconference matchup with the Hamilton College Continentals at home on Friday.
