Orange will race in three events in the autumn

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse University head men's rowing coach Dave Reischman announced the Orange's fall schedule on Thursday morning. The team will compete in three races and host the annual "Evening at Ten Eyck" event.

The fourth annual "Evening at Ten Eyck" will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17 at the James A. Ten Eyck Boathouse in Liverpool. Racing under the lights will begin at 7:30 p.m. For more information regarding the event, click here.

The Orange will kick off its fall racing season on Sunday, Oct. 23 at the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston. It marks the team's first appearance at the world's largest two-day regatta since 2013.

The following weekend, Syracuse will race at the Princeton Chase in Princeton, N.J. on Sunday, Oct. 30. The program has competed in this event every year since Reischman took over in 2002. In 2015, the top Orange boat placed 13th in varsity eight race.

The team will wrap up its autumn campaign at the Cornell Autumn Classic in Ithaca on Saturday, Nov. 5. It marks the third straight year the club will compete in the event.

Syracuse is coming off a strong 2016 season. The Orange cracked the top 10 of the coaches poll for the first time in more than three years. In addition, the team defeated Dartmouth to claim the Packard Cup for the first time since 2012.
