Bard places a record 46 student-athletes on Liberty League Spring All-Academic Teams

TROY, N.Y. – Liberty League commissioner Tracy King announced Thursday that 762 spring sport student-athletes qualified for the league's All-Academic Teams in their respective sports.

A total of 46 student-athletes qualified for Bard, breaking the school record of 38 among spring athletes, set last year.

To be recognized as a member of the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20. The spring championship sports include baseball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's rowing, softball, men's and women's tennis, and men's and women's track and field. Of those, Bard sponsors men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's track and field, men's and women's tennis and baseball.

"The student-athletes at our Liberty League member institutions continue to excel both on the playing
field and in the classroom," said King. "During the current academic year, more than 1,400 student-athletes have earned a place on one of the League's All-Academic Teams – which speaks volumes about their commitment to academic achievement. I salute them for their success."
