UPDATED-DEVELOPING: NYC Fire Department Battles 5-Alarm Res. Building Explosion Fire

UPDATED....Most updated injury information for 1644/1646 Park: 2 fatalities, 2 serious/life-threatening, 5 serious/non-life threatening, 15 minor.

New York City, New York - The New York City fire department with 168 members are battling a 5 alarm building explosion fire on park avenue between 114th and 117th streets.

Local reports say 15 people were injured, but the extent of their injuries were not immediately clear. It is also unclear if there are any people trapped inside the rubble.

Metro North Rail Road is reporting that the Harlem Line Service into and out of Grand Central Terminal is temporarily delayed until further notice due to police activity, MyFoxNY.com reported.

Residents reported hearing a large explosion in an apartment building around 9 a.m., FoxNews.com reports.
