Raptors cruise past Western Connecticut in 2015-16 home finale

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College men's tennis team defeated Western Connecticut State University, 8-1, in a non-league match on Thursday night.

It was the final home match of the 2015-16 season, and for three Bard seniors: Ted Laport, Philip Poznansky and Isaac Lertola. All three players figured prominently in the victory.

Laport teamed with Keillor Mose to earn a comeback 9-8 win at No. 1 singles; Lertola won at No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-0; and Poznasky teamed with Satchel Fisher to win at No. 2 doubles, 8-4.

Nicholas George won his match at No. 5 singles in straight sets, while Camille Wejnert-Depue and Miguel Garchitorena won 8-1 at No. 3 doubles.

Bard's last three matches of the season are all on the road, starting with a non-league match at Pratt on Apr. 23.
