Nolan, Villeneuve Record Career-Bests; Lead Saints in Slalom at Bates
Alec Nolan and Kobe Villeneuve recorded back-to-back finishes to lead the St. Lawrence University Alpine ski team in the slalom on day two of the Bates College Carnival at Sunday River.
Nolan clocked in with a two-run time of 1:45.13 to finish 17th, while Kobe Villeneuve finished in 1:45.24, good for 18th place. Simon Trudeau also scored for the Saints, finishing 35th in 1:47.49. Both Nolan and Villeneuve recorded career-bests with today's finishes.
Benni Caloro was the lone finisher on the women's side, placing 20th with a final time of 1:48.76.
"It was a good day on the men's side but there is definitely some more gas in the tank," said head coach Willi Steinrotter. "Benni also had a solid day and we're looking forward to hosting our carnival at our home hill on Thursday and Friday next week."
The men's squad finished the slalom in eighth place, while the women finished 12th.
