JAMESVILLE, N.Y. – Senior Stephen Armstrong (Erin, N.Y.) and sophomore Tanner Mingen
(Cypress, Texas) recorded strong finishes for the Wells College men's
cross country team as the squad posted a ninth place finish at the
Cazenovia Homecoming Invitational, held at Jamesville Beach State Park
on Saturday. Wells competed against 11 other programs on the 8K course.
Armstrong finished 40th overall with a
time of 30:16. Mingen finished just behind in 44th place, completing the
course in 30:27. Freshman Antonio D'Arpino (Auburn, N.Y.) secured third place on the team (31:56) while junior Ky'aire Reed (Trenton, N.J.) turned in a time of 34:41. Freshman Ross Cobb (So. Burlington, Vt.) rounded out the point scorers for Wells with a 93rd place finish (36:06).
Competing against seven other North
Eastern Athletic Conference cross country programs, Wells finished
sixth. Armstrong finished 21st out of just the NEAC competitors at the
race.
The Express return to action Saturday, Oct. 10 as they participate at the Hamilton College Invitational at 11 a.m.
