Lily Elise born February 20, 1991 in Berkeley, California is an R&B/Pop singer and a former contestant on the first season of NBC’s The Voice. Elise is a founding member and contributing songwriter with The Beat Advocate, an active alternative R&B Hip Hop band at University of Southern California. She has worked in the music industry as a studio reference vocalist and a backup vocalist for various up-and-coming acts.
Elise auditioned for the 2011 reality competition series The Voice (U.S. TV series), featuring celebrity judges/coaches Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera, and Blake Shelton. In the second episode, she performed “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys, advancing to the Battle Rounds as one of eight members on Christina Aguilera’s
Team. Elise won the battle in Week 4 of the Battle Rounds singing “Since U Been Gone” by Kelly Clarkson with Cherie Oakley.
A San Francisco, California Bay Area native, Elise currently lives in Los Angeles, California. When asked how long she had been singing, Lily laughed, “I was just born doing it, kind of like breathing.”
