Terra Incognita is organized by Katrina Rhein, Director of Castle Gallery. According to Director Rhein in the exhibit, “Form and scale are cleverly manipulated to suggest connections between macro and micro, the individual and the collective, the specific and the universal. The work encourages us to consider our own limitations as individual and the possibility of transcendence through discovery, contemplation, and interconnection.”
The exhibition is on display from Tuesday, January 29 to Sunday, March 31, 2013. A reception will be held on Sunday, February 3, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m.

The Castle Gallery, located in the west wing of Leland Castle at The College of New Rochelle, was founded in 1980, in direct response to a growing interest in the arts throughout Westchester. Handicapped accessibility to the Gallery includes curb ramps, parking, three steps at the front entrance, a wheelchair ramp in the rear and accessible rest rooms.
The first Catholic college for women in New York State, The College of New Rochelle was founded in 1904 by the Ursuline Order. Today, it comprises the all-women School of Arts & Sciences, and three schools which admit women and men: the School of New Resources (for adult learners), the School of Nursing and the Graduate School. The main campus of the College is located in lower Westchester County, 16 miles north of New York City. The College maintains six other campus locations in New York City.
