Women's Tennis Wins Again, Defeat John Jay 9-0



The women's tennis team remains undefeated following a 9-0 home win over John Jay College of Criminal Justice on Friday afternoon at the U.S. National Tennis Center in Queens.

The Bearcats, playing their first home match of

the season, swept all three doubles and six singles for the victory.

Ava Deguzman teamed again with Natalie Ibelhaupt for the first point of the match winning at first doubles, 6-3. Deguzman also was the first to win her first singles encounter, 6-0, 6-1.

Lauren Kraker won at second singles 6-2, 6-0.

Esther Benjamin (#3, 6-3, 6-2), Erica Sheludenko (#4, 6-3, 6-1) and Arielle Rabizadeh (#6, 6-3, 6-1) also won at singles for the sweep.
