Women's Soccer Once Again Scores But Drops Skyline Match to Sarah Lawrence College

 


NEW YORK – The Yeshiva University women's soccer team dropped its Skyline Conference match to Sarah Lawrence College, 11-1, at Randall's Island Field 74 on Friday afternoon.


For the second straight match against Skyline

competition, Yeshiva (0-3, 0-3 Skyline) was able to find the back of the net. Junior forward Yuval Nitzan settled the ball and found rookie forward Lior Pinchot, who rifled the ball past the opposing goalkeeper and into the back of the net with 6:01 left to play in the match. It was Pinchot's first collegiate goal and Nitzan's first collegiate point.



Sophomore goalkeeper Sophie Dubin made 15 saves in net for the Blue and White.



For Sarah Lawrence (6-6, 3-2 Skyline) sophomore midfielder Samantha Lungren had five points (two goals and an assist).



Yeshiva will host St. Joseph's College Long Island, at Passidomo Park, on Sunday afternoon. The Skyline contest is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m.
