Raptors lose at Clarkson

POTSDAM, N.Y. - The Bard College women's volleyball team lost to Clarkson University, 3-0, in a Liberty League game on Friday night.

The Golden Knights prevailed, 25-8, 25-10 and

25-12.

"Our team showed a ton of resiliency tonight," Bard coach Stefanie Carrington said. "Clarkson is a strong team with a plethora of offensive weapons and I'm pleased with the way we adjusted and improved as the match went on. Adi David is so good at absorbing the information from our scout and executing a game plan. She made some excellent decisions tonight and she was aggressive from the service line, which helped limit Clarkson's options and set us up for defensive success as well."

Laurel Edwards and Emily Smith had three kills apiece for Bard, Adi David had eight assists, and Ryan Lum had eight digs.

"Precious Star made some huge strides this week," Carrington continued. "She's already a blocking force in the conference in just her first year, and she's got unlimited potential to get better and better as her career continues."

Bard continues its North Country road trip with a match at St. Lawrence on Saturday.
